• Middletown North football runs away for road victory over St. John Vianney (nj.com subscription) — A Shore Conference football matchup in Holmdel saw Middletown North stay undefeated with a 27-6 win over St. John Vianney on Friday night. Playing on Holmdel turf, the Lions used two touchdown passes from Derek Grasso and two rushing scores from Matt Belenko, plus a stingy defense, to extend their series winning streak and strengthen their conference title hopes.
