Hazlet Woman Hit by Car on Rt. 35 in Holmdel After Fender Bender
BREAKING: A Hazlet woman was hit by a car on Rt. 35 Friday morning while inspecting the damage from an earlier fender bender.

HOLMDEL, NJ - A 24-year-old Hazlet woman was hit by a car while inspecting the damage from a two-car fender bender on Rt. 35 Friday morning in Holmdel, police report.
The initial accident happened at 7:05 a.m. Friday morning at Rt. 35 southbound and Centerville Road. Two vehicles had a minor rear-end collision in the fast lane. However, it was when both drivers got out of their vehicles and were standing at the rear of the two cars in the fast lane, that the Hazlet woman was struck by a third vehicle, Holmdel police said.
Holmdel First Aid and Monoc Paramedics responded to the scene, as well as Holmdel Township police. The woman who was struck by the vehicle was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center with moderate injuries.

One of the drivers was transported to Bayshore Hospital with minor injuries.
Two lanes of Hwy 35 were closed for approximately one hour during the investigation and so tow companies could remove the cars. Ptl. Maguire, Holmdel PD., is handling the investigation along with the Holmdel Police Traffic Safety Unit.
