A Catholic school in Holmdel has been deemed safe after it was briefly placed in "Shelter in Place," mode, police said.

A Catholic high school in Holmdel has been deemed safe after it was briefly placed in “Shelter in Place,” mode because of suspicious phone call, according to police.

St. John Vianney High School has been cleared by police, and all regular activities will resume, Holmdel police said in a Tweet Thursday morning.

Holmdel’s public schools have previously been the targets of swatting, in which callers make false reports to elicit a police response. The public schools have been hit by hoax callers five times between March 31 and last week.
