As a long time, Holmdel Resident, I deeply believe it is vital that the people representing us in office also represent our values. At the forefront of these values is fostering safe homes, schools and communities where children, friends, family and neighbors alike can find success and happiness. With that being said, I am reaching out to endorse Eric J. Hinds as Holmdel’s Mayor.

Mayor Eric J. Hinds is someone who advocates for the community. He is dedicated to making Holmdel better by taking action and getting results. I have no doubt he is the best candidate to guide the community, as demonstrated by his strong leadership, extensive experience and most importantly, his true integrity.

One distinction that makes Mayor Hinds a standout candidate is he continues to lead the way in fiscal responsibility on behalf of Holmdel taxpayers. He is devoted to lessening the load on the tax paying public through reducing expenses and increasing revenue. A few of his recent accomplishments in this area include:

o Keeping taxes flat for four consecutive years and providing many groups including seniors with vital information, helpful tips and valuable resources on the tax structure.

o Offering a new health benefit program to township personnel, resulting in a 750k annual savings for the town, also creating savings for the township employees. A win-win for all.

o Partnering with the Department of Public Works and Monmouth County to help pave, fill and maintain Holmdel’s expansive system of roadways saving approximately 20% annually.

o Mayor Hinds has been an integral part of the revitalization and now incredible success of Bell Works. It was his vision and passion that opened the door to this incredible project, which has not only created thousands of jobs for New Jersey but will create a future tax reduction for Holmdel residents.

o For Hinds, safety is first which is why he is supporting a new firehouse, equipment and truck. Through Holmdel’s campaign, they added 11 new volunteer firefighters. He also worked with the Holmdel Police increasing headcount from 36-44. Together, Mayor Hinds and the township committee worked with Police, Fire, First Aid, OEM, DPW & Construction to provide a much-needed portable mobile Emergency Services Communication System.

Mayor Hinds is passionate about the people in our community. He is a good man and a true leader. He will always do what he can for the town he loves.

Unfortunately, the game of politics proves to be a dirty game for the Mayor’s opponents and their supporters. However, Mayor Hinds continues to act with dignity and runs a clean campaign based on his experience, accomplishments and vision for the future. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Mayor Hinds.

As you can see, Mayor Eric J. Hinds is a man of service and integrity, who truly wants the best for Holmdel. I am certain he will continue to serve the community with the same passion he exhibits in all of his endeavors.
