Re-elect Peter Reddy for Holmdel Board of Education

For nearly four decades, Holmdel Township has shaped our family. Growing up in Holmdel, my sister, brother and I are beneficiaries of the Holmdel school system and are grateful for the quality education we received. When it came time to find the right place to raise our own children, my sister and I both chose Holmdel for the school system. As an alumni parent who values a Holmdel education, I am endorsing Peter Reddy for reelection to the Board of Education.

With the Holmdel 2020 referendum now passed, much work lies ahead to ensure these high priority capital improvement projects are executed successfully. Now more than ever our township is in need of an experienced board member like Peter Reddy with detailed knowledge of the projects and the work required to execute them without cost overruns or delays. Peter Reddy is not only aware of the most pressing priorities for our district, but he also has experience getting things done for Holmdel.

Peter is currently vice president of the board and has served as a board member for the last three years. He has been instrumental in helping to develop the Holmdel 2020 initiative and in hiring the current Superintendent. Peter has been involved in implementing the high school rotating schedule, the new high school café and has served as Buildings, Grounds and Safety Chair for the past two years. He also serves as a member of the township’s Recreation Advisory Committee.

Peter Reddy began his career as a US Army Officer. He was on active duty for 5 years and attained the rank of Captain. While serving in the Army, he gained experience leading others and making difficult decisions in high-pressure situations. Peter is currently an Account Executive with Honeywell International and works extensively with hundreds of NJ school districts and their boards. He has significant experience with school budgets, referenda and efficiency measures. Peter understands where taxpayers’ money can be saved by operating our buildings more efficiently and he can continue to put this experience to work for Holmdel.

Peter is a person of great integrity and character. He is a father of two boys (ages 10 and 13) and is an enthusiastic volunteer in our community. He is active in the St. Catharine’s parish, has coached over 30 teams through HYAA and travel leagues for soccer, basketball and baseball. He considers it a privilege to teach Holmdel children the values of teamwork, commitment and cooperation. With Peter on the Board of Education, you can trust that every decision made will have our children’s best interests in mind.

Holmdel needs an experienced board member who is skilled at building consensus on important issues that face our district, as well as knowledgeable about the implementation of the Holmdel 2020 projects. Peter Reddy is an experienced and capable leader and I hope you will join me in voting for Peter on Tuesday, November 7.
