'Real Housewives of New York' Star At Wine Academy of Hazlet
Cast member Ramona Singer will sign bottles of her signature wine between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Route 35 / Bethany Road store.
Ramona Singer, the straight-talking entrepreneur on "The Real Housewives of New York" will sign the labels of her signature Pinot Grigio at the Wine Academy of Hazlet, between 5 and 7 p.m. tonight.
The manager of the Hazlet store said this morning that she "couldn't venture a guess" on how many people will come, because its the first time the new store is hosting this kind of event in the store's "grotto" area, but she's already feeling a buzz.
"Some people see the postcard at the register, and they are like, 'Oh, I love that show!,'" said Christina Lenehan. "One lady, in last night, said she is a huge fan. Some people are saying they just want to come in and see what all the hubbub is about."

The Wine Academy has been selling Ramona Pinot Grigio since 2011. "A nice, steady, moving, wine," said Lenehan. On October 1, wine stores nationwide will take delivery of Singer's red wine, made from Chianti grapes, called Ramona Red. The celebrity wine label is a new trend in the industry, said Lenehan. Dave Matthews, Train and even the Jets football team have their names on wine labels now.
Ramona Singer, who also has a line of jewelry and skin care, told Patch she cherishes opportunities to connect with her followers. “So many of my fans tell me I am their inspiration," she said.

Despite the loud interactions in the show, Singer says she is actually a calm and focused on her personal goals. "No one ever handed me a thing, I am self-made and proof that if I can do it anyone can.”
She said he enjoys a cool glass of her own white wine. “My favorite thing about Ramona Pinot is how easy and smooth it is to drink.”
At tonight's event, bottles of the Ramona White will be sold for $17.99. Patrons can bring the bottle to Singer's table for her signature. Although it is not a wine tasting, attendees can sample the Ramona from the machine dispensers that are a unique feature at Wine Academy.
Singer said she is super busy with all her ventures, but enjoying herself and looks forward to meeting her fans. “I have it all -- a great husband, a wonderful daughter, a thriving business and an amazing social life. Women can have it all—just not at once.”
For her it all comes down to balance (and maybe a little bit of wine).
