Serious Motorcycle Accident On Rt. 36 In Hazlet

HAZLET, NJ — Update: Rt. 36 is now fully reopened in both lanes, both directions as of 2 p.m. Monday.

A serious motorcycle accident occurred at 11:50 a.m. Monday on Rt. 36 and Poole Avenue in Hazlet, which shut down busy Highway 36 for hours. The man riding the motorcycle has been medevac'd to a nearby hospital.

Rt. 36 north between Stone Road and Poole Avenue was shut down for hours due to the crash. The Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) is also on the scene.
