Several Main Hazlet Roads Flooded, Police Say

Breaking: The following Hazlet roadways are flooded and impassable due to heavy rain, police say:

HAZLET, NJ — The rain may have finally eased up, but flooding is a major issue in Hazlet right now: Union Avenue between Middle Road and Highway 36 is currently impassable, Deputy Chief Ted Wittke said.

Middle Road by police headquarters is also flooded and impassable, as is Clark Street between the Garden State Parkway north and Lloyd Road. Many side roads and developments have seen flooding as well. Be careful driving out there and stay safe this weekend, as more rain and flooding is expected.

The above is a Patch file photo of flooding in Sea Bright last year.
