Student Protestors are Wrong

As I watched the last Holmdel TC meeting and listened to the almost incoherent rantings of the student protestors, a number of questions came to mind. Why do these students hate the United States so much? Why are they so intellectually lazy? How is it that they are so blinded by their hate?

These students are attempting to remove the blue line that runs down Crawford Corners Road and whose purpose is to honor five slain police officers. These protestors do not engage in civil discussion, instead they make demands. Of course, if you disagree with them, they will label you a racist. One of the leaders of the group labels herself as a rioter and a disgrace to the Chinese Community.

Their claim of systematic racism is false. Their claim that the police are all racists is false. Their claim that the United States is an evil country is false. Interesting one of their leaders attends Yale, an institution of higher learning founded by a slave trader. Is Yale inherently racist? Are they calling for the closing or renaming of Yale. The answer is of course no.

They are also intellectually lazy. They deny the leadership of the BLM movement is supportive of violence and a Marxist group. Even a brief google search would provide countless amounts of evidence to support these claims. In fact, just a few days ago, one of the leaders of BLM in Chicago justified the looting of stores as reparations. This leader was justifying violence and looting. It is interesting to note that during that looting, a facility that houses families in Chicago who have children in hospitals with serious illnesses was attacked.

It is clear that racism exists. There is no utopia and we must work to eliminate racism. However, the hate of these students ignores the greatness of our Constitution and the greatness if the country set up our founding fathers.

Lastly, my oath that I took as an Officer of Marines, to protect the Constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic, still stands. These radical students and their hate makes them a domestic enemy of the Constitution and the American people.
