Sycamore Drive ECLC Welcomes New Principal
Gina Dorozynski started her duties as principal of Sycamore Drive ECLC on July 1. She has served Hazlet Twp Public Schools for 25 years.

HAZLET, NJ – Students at Sycamore Drive Early Childhood Learning Center may recognize a familiar face stepping into a new role this summer. Gina Dorozynski began her duties on July 1, taking over for former principal Susan Galbraith upon her retirement.
Dorozynski has been an early childhood educator with Hazlet Township Public Schools for 25 years, starting at Raritan Valley Elementary School as a kindergarten, basic skills, and second grade teacher before transitioning to Sycamore Drive ECLC as a master teacher/early literacy instructor and administrative aide.
“As the new principal of SD ECLC, my goal is to create a healthy, safe, inclusive environment for all students and staff, where courtesy and kindness prevail, and where there is respect for differences in other people, customs and cultures,” Dorozynski told Patch. “I have grown as an educational leader through real-world experiences and positive relationships with the amazing students, teachers, parents/guardians, administration and Board of Education of Hazlet Township Public Schools.”

Dorozynski looks forward to collaborating with staff, students, parents and community partners in order to continue the success of Sycamore Drive ECLC. She cites social emotional learning, personalized learning and future-ready practices as integral components of the preschool and kindergarten curriculum.
“With strong home school connections, I believe we will keep moving our students and school forward as we navigate our way through this new reality,” said Dorozynski.

The new principal released a newsletter on July 1 welcoming Sycamore Drive ECLC families into her “virtual” principal’s office:
“Whether our learning plan this fall is virtual, face to face, or a combination of both, I promise that your child's learning experience will be the very best that Hazlet has to offer,” Dorozynski wrote. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to personalized and social emotional learning, future ready skills, and family partnerships. We are closely following guidelines from Governor Murphy, the NJ Department of Education, Central Office and the Hazlet Board of Education to develop the best educational plan for your child. We will be fully prepared to execute a developmentally appropriate, research based and nurturing early learning program in September.”
