Talkin' Trash: A Look at What Garbage Pick-up Costs

You can save good money by shopping around, moving to a smaller bin, or stepping down your collection to just once a week.

But be forewarned. After my family realized we could live with once-a-week pickup, the Bridge employee stepped off a truck and slapped a huge white sticker with a large red "1X" on the  green bin. It is supposed to indicate once a week pickup, but to me it conjures up something like a hideous quarantine warning on my house.
