More Details In 'Terrible,' Fiery Parkway Crash: 'Burnt' Car Flips, Catches Fire [Video]
A car flipped on a N.J. highway, causing what was called a "terrible accident." Story is developing, with a video provided of Parkway fire.
More information became available after a car flipped on the Garden State Parkway on Sunday, causing what one observer called a "terrible accident" and a fire.
The accident happened around 12 noon in the Aberdeen-Hazlet area near Exit 119 on the southbound express-lane side. State Police said one person was seriously hurt in the crash, and was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center.
Delbert Gomez, 74, of Ocean Township was ejected from the vehicle and was in stable condition late Sunday, police said.

The accident was causing delays on both sides of the highway, between Exits 120 and 114 in Monmouth County, according to state Department of Transportation officials.
"Wow terrible accident on Parkway at 119, South closed for chopper landing, North squeezing by. One car is ... burnt down," one Twitter observer wrote.

The story is developing, with a video provided of the Parkway fire (see below). The car apparently ended up right-side up, with flames shooting out the side.
