Three Stole from Holmdel Man's Credit Card, Checking Account, Police Say

Steven Molok, 25, Anthony Carbone, 24, and Kristi Carbone, 28, were arrested earlier in August.

Holmdel, NJ - A two-month long investigation by the Holmdel police revealed that three Holmdel residents were helping themselves to a fourth Holmdel resident's credit and debit card, stealing a grand total of $29,000 over an extended time period, police said.

An unnamed Holmdel resident contacted police headquarters to report that over the last several months he had noticed several issues with his checking account and a credit card. After providing all bank records from his bank, Bank of America, it was found that the victim was missing approximately $29,000 between the two accounts.

Working with the Bank of America fraud unit, Detective Eric Hernando with the Holmdel police spent two months observing the Bank of America branch on Bethany Road and reviewing all security footage from there. That's where the victim said he deposited his checks and used his ATM card the most, with the exception of a transaction or two that occurred in Aberdeen.
