13th Annual Taste of Newton Returns to Spring Street

Enjoy a Taste of Newton - great food, live music and more to benefit GNCC's Scholarship Fund for deserving local students.

From braised short rib tortellini to barbecued boneless spare ribs, pad thai to pork tamales, enjoy a Taste of Newton on Monday, September 8, 2014 (Rain date Tuesday, September 9, 2014) from 6:30 p.m.to 9:30 p.m. on Spring Street in Newton.

Guests at the event will enjoy a full range of dining indulgences from soups to desserts with the backdrop of live music for listening and dancing in the street. Presented by the Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce (GNCC), proceeds from the event, now in its 13th year, help fund the GNCC’s scholarship program for deserving local students to further their education in the culinary arts as well as the decorations that highlight Newton’s downtown streetscape.

Participating restaurants and specialty food providers from Newton and throughout the local area include Cliff’s Homemade Ice Cream, Dre’s, Divinely Dolce, Edible Arrangements, Forno Italiano, Happy Wok, Hummingbird House, Krave Café & Caterers, Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, Lafayette House, O’Reilly’s Pub & Grill, Perona Farms, Romancing Desserts, Selda Mediterranean Grill, Tuscany Bistro, Thai Nam Phet II, The Table and Trinity Restaurant & Lounge.

Enjoy a festive evening to kick off the fall season in beautiful northwestern New Jersey.
Tickets are available in advance for $50.00 each and are sold at the Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce office. Tickets are limited, but will be priced at $60 on the day of the event if still available. Beverages (beer, wine, and mixed drinks) may be purchased throughout the evening.
