9 Sparta-Cong Wrestlers Head to Tournament
Group unable to reach team championship, but individuals still have matches ahead of them.
Despite being knocked out of the team championship tournament due to lack of wins, the Sparta-Cong wrestlers in grades kindergarten through six won’t see their season end just yet.
Led by captains Frank Mastroeni, Mikey Mastroeni and Jarret Luciani, the team consisted of wrestlers from both Hopatcong and Sparta, hence the name.
Ending the season in seventh place with a 7-8 record, nine individuals will still have a chance to make their mark on the 2013 campaign during the year-end tournament in March.
