
For the third time in as many years the Chief's Challenge, a race to benefit Hopatcong's youth, is asking residents to take a part of their Sunday and enjoy music, refreshments, prizes and the general camaraderie of a community looking to support its high school student athletes.
Net proceeds from the race are awarded in the form of scholarships to graduating Hopatcong High School seniors who have excelled both academically and athletically. To date, $15,000 has been awarded.
This year's race is Sunday, June 16 at 9 a.m. Register at the Best Race website (The registration form is also attached to this post) and get more information at the Chief's Challenge site.

The course is through Hopatcong with mile splits and water at the half way point and finish. The start will begin at the H.S. track parking area and finish on the H.S. track. It will be a challenging course with rolling hills as well as flat portions.
