'Armed & Dangerous' Man Sought In North Jersey
Police say residents should not approach the suspect if they see him.
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police in Sussex County are seeking a man who has been deemed "armed and dangerous."
On Friday, Newton police announced they are seeking James ‘Mac’ Alston. Authorities did not specify what Alston is wanted for, but said he has been considered "armed and dangerous."
Alston was last seen in the area of Merriam and Sparta avenues in Newton, police said.

"If anyone sees this individual or knows of his whereabouts, please call 911 immediately," police said. "DO NOT approach or reach out to this subject."
