Baby Hospitalized After Hit By Baseball At Minor League Game In North Jersey

A baby was hit by a baseball during the game and has been hospitalized, police said.

A baby was hospitalized after being hit by a baseball during a game at Skylands Stadium on Wednesday night, police said.

Police said the child, who is 11 months old, was hit by a foul ball around 7:30 p.m. during a game at the Augusta stadium, where the Sussex County Miners were scheduled to play the Trois-Rivières.

The unidentified child was flown to University Hospital in Newark, police said. The child's condition was unknown at press time.
