Bowling: Hopatcong Has Weekend to Remember
Chiefs steal sectional title, finish fourth in HWS tournament.
Hopatcong's bowling team didn't slow its roll this weekend.
The Chiefs grabbed their second straight Group 2 state sectional title Saturday with a team total of 2,899. Wallkill Valley landed second with 2,790.
Senior Ray Stirrat's 718 was a team-high and good enough for the day's second-best score behind North Bergen's Jon Glattstein. Stirrat qualified for Wednesday's Tournament of Champions at Brunswick Zone Carolier Lanes in Milltown.

The Chiefs will head to the state finals Friday, also at Carolier Lanes.
Hopatcong also took fourth in Friday's Hunterdon Warren Sussex tournament.
