As Election Day approaches, we see more and more political signs posted on public and private property throughout town. I understand the need for candidates to get their name out there so people are aware of who is running for a political office. I had a local candidate’s sign posted on my property. What I do not understand is why someone would remove a sign off of my property and leave the signs of opposing candidates, which are on public property down the street from my home, still standing. If this is how the opposing candidates or the people voting for them choose to get rid of their opponents' advertising, I find it very immature. In fact, the local candidate’s sign I had on my property is only having signs posted on private property with the homeowner’s permission so our town is not littered with their political signs on public property. So to whomever removed the sign from my property, I have a new one up and would hope you respect my right to post a local candidate’s sign on my property as I would respect your right to do so too!
