Bunny Brothers Charged For Prank Seen in Police Station Video: Report
Turns out their antics could be a violation of the law.
HOPATCONG, NJ — Two brothers have been charged for their role in an air horn-blaring bunny suit stunt at the Hopatcong Police Department, according to news reports.
Kevin and Jason Hemmerich were both charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and obstructing the administration of law. The brother who wore the bunny suit and received the slap from a cop is also charged with resisting arrest.
The Daily Record reported that the two brothers were arrested because they "purposely caused or recklessly created the risk of public inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm by engaging in threatening or tumultuous behavior by an act that served no legitimate purpose.”

Kevin Hemmerich was wanted by the Sheriff's Office after crashing his car without insurance and failing to complete a 12-day-sentence. Instead of going quietly, Hemmerich donned his bunny best to go to the police station, blowing an air horn to make sure his presence was not missed.
His brother, Jason, can be heard in the background egging Hemmerich on, even after a clerk tells Hemmerich to stop. Eventually a police officer arrives and slaps the bunny-suit wearing Hemmerich.
