Car Crash Leads To Outstanding Warrant Arrest: Sparta Police

Adrianne Smith was wanted on an active warrant out of Andover.

SPARTA, NJ - A car crash at the Quick Chek ended in a warrant arrest on Dec. 11, according to the Sparta Police Department.

According to authorities, Sparta patrols responded to the area of the Quick Chek on Sparta Avenue for a report of a two car crack up. The vehicles were moved off of the roadway into the parking lot where Patrolman Thomas Herd collected both drivers information to begin the accident report. During his investigation, Herd learned that one of the drivers, 35-year-old Adrianne Smith of Newton, had an active warrant out of Andover Twp for $1,000, police said.

Smith was placed under arrest and transported to Sparta Police HQ for processing. Andover Court was contacted and Smith was able to post bail with a 10 percent option, which she did, police said. Smith was issued summonses for:

She was advised of a required court appearance and released.
