Cold, Windy With Chance Of Snow In N.J. This Weekend

It's going to be a wet, windy and cold weekend in New Jersey, with even a chance of snow on Saturday night.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service have issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook detailing several days of less than pleasant weather.

It starts Friday, with a chance of thunderstorms that could produce strong winds.

Then Saturday, a "strong" cold front will bring a "rapid" increase in the winds. A high wind watch has been issued across New Jersey all day Saturday. Gusts of up to 60 mph are possible.

Also on Saturday, forecasters say some snow showers are possible across the region. The area with the biggest threat of snow is North Jersey. Central and South Jersey residents can expect rain.

Winds are expected to decrease by Sunday evening. Forecasters warn that trees and power lines could fall during this weather event.

While the winds might cease, the temperatures will remain unseasonably cold. On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night, temperatures will be below freezing.

There's another chance of snow showers on both Monday and Tuesday.
