Contested Election Contest Underway In Hopatcong
A pair of seats on the governing body are up for grabs this November.
HOPATCONG, NJ - A quiet primary election season has given way to a contested general election season in Madison as the July 7 election results are complete, according to the Sussex County Clerk.
Republicans Richard Schindelar and John Young earned their party's nomination with 1,247 and 1,278 votes respectively.
They are opposed by Democrat Mara Modes, who earned her party's nomination with 805 votes.

The general election is currently scheduled for Nov. 3.
