Drunk Driver Flips Car Into Woods: Sparta Police
Police say the man refused medical assistance.

SPARTA, NJ — A drunk driver flipped his car into the woods Thursday night, Sparta police said.
Police say 52-year-old Richard Bernstein, of Newton, was driving on Sparta Ave near Surrey Lane Thursday night when the crash happened. He allegedly climbed out of the window of his car and told police he did not need medical help.
Bernstein allegedly failed field sobriety tests, and was arrested. He was charged with DWI and issued tickets for careless driving and failure to keep right. He was released to a sober adult with an upcoming court date.
