Durga Tree's 4th Annual Gala to Benefit the New Bloom Program(TM)

Join us for a speakeasy-themed Bootlegger's Bash fundraiser on October 1 in Andover!

Global philanthropists, Durga Tree International, will be hosting their annual fundraising gala, “Speakeasy – A Bootlegger’s Bash,” on Saturday, October 1st, 2016, at the exclusive Hudson Farm in Andover, NJ. This 1920’s themed evening will be held at a secret location on the grounds of the Farm, and in lieu of a silent auction, Durga Tree is excited to offer a FUNdraising alternative with various casino tables, perfect for a Bootlegger’s Bash. There will also be a live auction, music by renowned NYC DJ Kevin Woodley, and a unique, limited opportunity to take part in “Sabering for Freedom.” Other optional fundraising events planned for the gala weekend at Hudson Farm are a “Cast & Blast,” a fishing and clay shoot experience, and an Audubon guided hike around the Farm grounds. All proceeds from the gala will go toward Durga Tree’s new Bloom ProgramTM, a whole-person model of collaborative psychosocial care for women survivors of abuse, forced labor, or sexual exploitation. For more information on the gala, please visit http://durgatreeinternational.org/fall_gala/.

At three years old, this collaborative non-profit organization, co-created by Beth & Tim Tiger and Jess Hoertel, has raised over $550,000 to aid in the war against Modern Slavery. Durga Tree International’s mission is to educate and economically empower survivors of abuse, exploitation, and Modern Slavery. Through sound business practices, creating economic platforms and educating survivors, Durga Tree supports programs which enable survivors to become thrivers, thereby increasing their chances of remaining outside of the slavery cycle, as well as protecting their next generation.

Additional Durga Tree International events are planned for 2016 and 2017, including Pedal for a Purpose in October 2016, the first-annual Holiday Tea fundraiser in December 2016, the third-annual volunteer immersion trip to Guatemala in March 2017, and the fourth-annual Lacing Up for Freedom walk-a-thon in May 2017.
