GardenFest ~ To benefit the Hopatcong Community Garden

Join us for an afternoon of family fun at Modick Park! Learn the ABC's of organic gardening & about delicious but affordable healthy eating!
All money to benefit the start up costs for the Hopatcong Community Garden.


Activies planned so far!

  • Register to rent a plot at the HCG
  • Face painting & tattoos for the kids
  • Take a fun portrait or family photo on the spot at the Photo Booth
  • Buy herbs, & organic seeds at excellent prices
  • Buy Square Foot Gardening frames made by local residents
  • Walk to the Hopatcong Community Garden for a tour
  • Book signing for Hopatcong children's book author, James Gentile
  • Games for children and their parents
  • Get advice from "Ask the Expert" master gardeners
  • Visit our vendors. Support them supporting us. We have craft vendors, home and kitchen vendors, natural skin products and much more!
  • Learn the ABC's of delicious, affordable, healthy eating licensed nutritionist and HCG member, Yvonne Syto
  • Eat some great & healthy food
  • Listen to live music by the Joe Tree Group will perform from 12-2
  • From 2-4 attend one (or both) of two Karma Yoga 45 minute classes organized and taught by Kula Yoga & Wellness in Stanhope, whose owners are Hopatcong residents.
