Four People Running For Hopatcong's Three Open School Board Seats
Three incumbents file nominating petitions before Tuesday's deadline.

Four people will run for three open seats in April's Hopatcong Board of Education elections.
Susan Madar, Patricia LoBue, Richard Lavery and Margaret Bongiorno each filed nominating petitions before Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline.
Madar, LoBue and Lavery are incumbents whose seats will expire in the spring. Lavery was appointed to the board when Mary Louise Baker resigned, , in September, and will finish her term.
Bongiorno hasn't served on the board, but applied for Baker's seat.
The candidates have until March 14 to withdraw. The ballot position lottery will occur on March 17 at 3 p.m., according to Business Administrator Theresa Sierchio.
