Free Community Health & Wellness Fair
Free health care screenings, mammograms and more at a free Health Fair at Project Self-Sufficiency.
A free Community Health & Wellness Fair will be hosted by Project Self-Sufficiency on Thursday, November 2nd, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. The event will feature screenings by community health organizations, interactive educational exhibits, and up-to-date information about blood pressure, anxiety, depression, body/mass index, nutrition, diabetes, skin cancer, and vaccines. Free mammograms will be available by appointment to underinsured and uninsured women over the age of 40; some income guidelines will apply. The free Community Health & Wellness Fair will take place at Project Self-Sufficiency’s Community Education Center, located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.
Representatives from local community health organizations will include 5Pminus (cri du chat); Center for Prevention and Counseling – Tobacco Free for a Healthy NJ; Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation; DASI; National Ovarian Cancer Coalition; NAMI; OCD New Jersey; Project Self-Sufficiency; Shop Rite of Byram; Special Child Health Services; Sussex County Division of Health, Sussex Warren Chronic Disease Coalition; Total Hearing Care; United Way Caregivers Coalition; Zufall Health Center; and others.
The Community Health & Wellness Fair is free and open to the public; advance registration is encouraged.
