Free Disaster preparedness/CERT Training
The Sussex County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is holding a CERT basic training course.

The Sussex County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be
holding a FREE training course for anyone interested in learning how
to assist themselves, their neighbors and their community before,
during and after the impact of a major disaster.
Persons completing the course will be offered an opportunity to become
members of the Green, Hopatong, Sparta, and/or Sussex County
Community Emergency Response Teams. The program is open to ages 16
and older.
Thursday, September 13th from 6:30pm to 9pm. Unit 1 - Disaster Prep.

Thursday, September 20th from 6:30pm to 9pm. Unit 2 - Fire Safety.
Thursday, September 27th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Unit 3 - Disaster Med Ops 1.

Thursday, October 4th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Unit 4 - Disaster Med Ops 2.
Thursday, October 11th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Unit 5 - Light SAR.
Thursday, October 18th from 6:30pm to 9pm. Unit 6 - CERT Organization.
Thursday, October 25th from 6:30pm to 9pm. Unit 7 - Disaster Psychology.
Thursday, November 1st from 6:30pm to 9pm. Unit 8 - CERT and Terrorism.
Saturday, November 3rd from 9am to 3pm. Final Exam and Exercise.
The class will be held at the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center
which is located at 135 Morris Turnpike in Newton.
