Hopatcong Education Association Throws Ice Cream Social For School Volunteers
The annual event at Durban Avenue School honored parents and community members who give their time to support students.
HOPATCONG, NJ — The Hopatcong Education Association sponsored a Volunteer Dessert and Ice Cream Social at the Durban Avenue School Library on Monday to thank parents and community members for their contributions to the school.
Held June 1 in the school library, the event brought together students, parents, staff, administrators and community members for ice cream and other desserts as a gesture of appreciation for volunteers who support Durban Avenue School.
The gathering was funded through the Hopatcong Education Association's PEP grant, formerly known as the PRIDE Grant, which has provided continued support for the annual event.
