The Hopatcong Warriors pee wee squad beat Lenape Valley, 28-7, for its first win of the season on Saturday night in Hopatcong.
The Warriors got started quick and never let up. Quarterback Craig Swanson broke away for a long touchdown run on Hopatcong's first play from scrimmage and halfback Zach Huapaya added the extra point. Then halfback/end Cole Robertson connected with Max Schuman on a long touchdown pass. Later, Robertson hauled in a TD pass from Swanson. Halfback Anthony Mastroeni added an extra point and several long runs.

"The entire offense played well," head coach Dave Ammiano said. Ammiano said the blocking of Nolan Cook, Matt Dill, Frank Grenevich, Devon Heins, Tyler Kennedy, Julien Maldonado and fullback Joey Juliano particularly stood out.
On defense, Hopatcong was lead by the strong play of Jason Cranmer, Haitham Fostak, Jesse Huapaya, Zach Kennedy, Ryan Lasher, Sebastian Priestman, Darren Roebuck and Kamil Sprycha. Robertson also returned an interception for a touchdown. Other key contributors on defense were Zach Huapaya, Mastroeni, Swanson, Dill and Tyler Kennedy.
