Thomas J. Shara, president and chief executive officer of Lakeland Bank recently announced the following officer promotions.
Sharon Space to Assistant Vice President – Computer Operations Manager. Space joined the former NBSC, now Lakeland Bank, in September 1978 as a bookkeeper in the operations department. She left to work for a family business in 1988 and returned in October 1990 as a teller. Space transferred back to operations in March 1992 and advanced to assistant manager, computer services. Space was promoted to assistant treasurer, computer operations manager in March 2011. She is a member of the Sussex Wesleyan Church and the North Jersey Exotic Bird Club. Space is a resident of Lake Hopatcong.
Eftychia Gizas to Vice President – Area Manager. Gizas joined Lakeland Bank in May 1987 as a transit operator. She transferred to a teller position and advanced within retail banking working at the Newfoundland, Pompton Plains and Wharton Offices. She was promoted to assistant vice president, branch manager in January 2010. Gizas currently manages the Milton and Wharton Offices. She is a resident of Hopatcong.
