Lucky Sparta Family Set to 'Cruise' After $10.5M Lotto Win
Karen and Edward James bought their lottery ticket in Jefferson in early July and claimed their prize recently.

The James family is going on a cruise. Every last one of them. And it’s going to be awesome.
That’s because grandparents Karen and Edward of Sparta have just cashed in on New Jersey’s largest Pick-6 jackpot of 2013, claiming their $10.5 million prize this week, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
The ticket was sold at Jefferson’s Deli Works before the July 8 drawing, and the business will receive a bonus commission of $10,000, the organization said.

Karen James told New Jersey Lottery she and her husband plan to take all of their children and grandchildren on a cruise vacation.
The James’s chose the cash option, valued at $7,243,215, with an after-tax amount of $5,215,114, New Jersey Lottery said.

The Pick-6 turned over a staggering 31 times before finding a winner, which began on March 25. In that time, more than $9.1 million to the State Treasury in support of the New Jersey Lottery’s beneficiaries.
