Prosecutor: Cocaine, Cash Seized From Drug Bust of Alleged North Jersey Dealer

A months-long investigation by several local police departments as well as the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office led to the bust of an alleged cocaine dealer and Sparta resident, authorities announced.

Pablo Home, 30, was arrested in Parsippany Thursday morning after a traffic stop in which a quarter-kilogram of cocaine was found, along with $1,800 in cash, Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said.

The investigation began in February, after Home was stopped by a patrol officer in Wharton, who “gathered intelligence” of the alleged drug dealer, Knapp said.

“This intelligence ultimately led to law enforcement halting the importation of a large quantity of powder cocaine and crack cocaine into Morris County,” Knapp said.

The seized quarter-kilo had a street value of more than $12,000, Knapp said.

Home was charged with first degree possession of a controlled dangers substance with the intent to distribute (cocaine); second degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute (crack cocaine); two counts of third degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance; and third degree financial facilitation of criminal activity (money laundering).

Home was lodged in Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 bail with no 10-percent option.

This is the second major narcotics bust in a week that had ties to Morris County, after the Drug Enforcement Agency made the largest heroin bust in New York history last weekend. Those arrested in the New York City seizure allegedly picked up their shipment in Montville, New Jersey.
