Public Welcomed to Community Health Fair

The free Community Health Fair at Project Self-Sufficiency offered free flu shots, allergy testing and health care tips.

Area residents received free screenings, vaccinations and health care tips at Project Self-Sufficiency’s recent Community Health Fair. Health care professionals dispensed flu shots and blood pressure screenings. Participants also received helpful information about smoking cessation, services for children with special needs, allergies, nutrition, diabetes, reproductive health, vaccines and other topics.

Interactive educational exhibits were offered by 5P Minus Society; Bridgeway Rehabilitation Services; Casting for Recovery; Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Intervention Services (DASI); Mom’s Quit Connection; National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI); Negotium Enterprise; New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-Ed); Passaic County College/Sussex Campus Nursing School; Planned Parenthood; Sussex County Department of Environmental and Public Health Services/NJ CEED; Sussex County Special Child Health Services; Sussex County YMCA; Senior Insurance Associates; Walgreens; and Zufall Health Center.
