Residents Invited To Attend America 250 Event At Lake Hopatcong: What To Know

HOPATCONG, NJ —Residents are invited to celebrate America's 250th birthday during a community-wide event this weekend at Lake Hopatcong.

The celebration will begin with a boat parade departing from in front of Nolan's Point at 11 a.m., with participating boats asked to gather in Great Cove by 10:45 a.m.

An All Fleet Sail will follow from Bertrand Island to Halsey Island at 11:30 a.m. All sailing vessels are welcome, with participants asked to assemble in front of the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club at 11:15 a.m.

The event will also feature a Paddler Flotilla for kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards beginning at noon. Paddlers should gather on the north side of Lakeshore Village, just past the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club.
