Search Spans Country For North Jersey Father Accused of Kidnapping Sons

Police say Kristopher Dohm shaved his sons' heads, stopped all communication.

Leads in the case of a Hopatcong man accused of kidnapping his two sons have been exhausted, and police are asking for the public’s help.

In a special bulletin posted to the Hopatcong Police Department’s Facebook page, police say Kristopher Dohm, 36, who is believed to have abducted his sons Jaxon, 7, and Parker, 8, has shaved the boys’ heads and possibly changed the license plate on his 2009 gray Nissan Pathfinder.

The boys, staying with their father for a few days, were expected to be returned home on Monday, Feb. 9 in accordance with a custody agreement. The boys were not brought home and their mother, Sandra Dohm, said on her Facebook page the last she spoke with the children was Thursday, Feb. 5.

Investigators with the Nevada State Police have visited Dohm’s parents’ home multiple times, police said, and have not found any of the missing persons.

Police also said Kristopher Dohm has dropped his cell phone and all other forms of electronic communications.
