Sparta Historical Society to Hold Antique/Classical Car Show
The show will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16 in the parking lot of the Sparta Middle School.

SPARTA, NJ — Sparta residents are invited to check out tons of antique cars that will be on display as part of the Sparta Historical Society's first car show. The event's theme is "Cars You Don't See Anymore," and will take place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16 in the parking lot of the Sparta Middle School, New Jersey Herald reports.
There will be around 40 antique and classical cars at the show — antique meaning cars over 50 years old, and classic meaning cars over 25 years old, according to Sparta Historical Society.
Atteendees can expect to see a 1962 Studebaker Avanti, a 1963 Corvette, a 1970 Chevelle, a 1947 Plymouth coupe, and much more.

Society member Brian O'Neill told New Jersey Herald that a 1909 White will also be on display. The car is steam-powered, and is expected to get to the show using its own power.
The Society is looking for additional displays for their event. Anyone who might have a car like this can contact O'Neill at 973-729-5586 with details.

"We aren't giving away trophies or judging entries," O'Neill said to New Jersey Herald. "In fact, some of the people coming said they simply don't need any more trophies or ribbons."
