All active registered New Jersey voters will automatically receive a vote-by-mail Ballot for this year’s Presidential Election.

The deadline to register to vote in the November 3, 2020 election was October 13, 2020.
If you did not register to vote by October 13rd, please contact the Board of Elections at 973-579-0950 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm for further instructions.

All Mail-In Ballots were mailed from the County Clerk’s office as of Monday, October 5th.
Voters can choose how to return their voting ballot with the following options:
- If voting by mail, your Ballot must carry a postmark no later than November 3rd.
- Any Sussex County Resident Mail-in Ballot can be deposited in any one of the 13 secure drop boxes in Sussex County.
- A voter can deliver their Ballot in person to the County Board of Elections, 83 Spring Street, Suite 305, Newton, New Jersey.
- On Election Day, November 3rd, a voter can hand their Mail-In Ballot directly to a poll worker at their designated polling location. You may not deliver anyone else’s Ballot to the polls.
Sparta Township will have only three polling locations open on Election Day. Voters who prefer to vote in person on Election Day can bring their mail-in Ballot to their assigned polling place and hand it directly to a poll-worker. However, only voters with a disability will be permitted to use an in-person accessible voting machine on Election Day.
If you are a registered voter and you go to the polls to vote in person but do not bring your mail-in Ballot you will be given a Paper Provisional Ballot. Provisional Ballots are counted only after the deadline to accept and count mail-in Ballots (1-2 weeks after Election Day).

General Election – Tuesday, November 3, 2020 –Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

District #1, 3, 10, 12, 14 Sparta First Presbyterian Church, 32 Main St.
District #4, 6, 8 Alpine Elementary School Gym, 151 Andover Rd.
Sparta Township’s Ballot Box is now open and located outside of the Sparta Police Department Dispatch Center. You may park in the lower parking lot to the left of the Municipal Building. The Ballot Box is located on the right side before you enter the Police Department entrance.
IMPORTANT: Do not place your Ballot in any other receptacle other than the one shown below.
