Start a career in Pharmacy Services as a Pharm Tech in as little as 8 weeks!
***Seats still available for our June 12th class***
A pharmacy technician is an IN DEMAND career and an excellent choice whether you’re using it as a stepping stone to another healthcare role or as your chosen career path. And, a pharmacy technician is just the first step to a health career - not a dead-end job. A pharmacy technician can often expand into managerial roles.
The pharmacy technician career path can actually lead to work in a variety of settings such as hospitals, ambulatory services, and even for government agencies like the Department of Defense. Seeking additional training through Skylands in Pharmacy Compounding and Sterile Prep can further your career opportunities, too.
Starting out, Pharmacy Technicians will find work under the supervision of a pharmacist to fulfill prescription orders and more. Pharmacy technicians are often the face of the pharmacy collecting patient information and back office support in processing insurance claims and taking inventory of supplies. Many pharmacy technicians are also responsible for packaging and labeling prescriptions as well as measuring the proper amounts and dosages of medicines.
