PRESS RELEASE

August 3, 2021

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Virtual Courtroom in Newton on August 2, 2021 by Christopher W. Barry.

     Barry, age 35 of Wantage, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a crime of the third degree and a motor vehicle summons for Careless Driving. Sentencing is presently scheduled for September 9, 2021 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C.              

     The defendant admitted to being in possession of Fentanyl, a Controlled Dangerous Substance and operating a motor vehicle in Newton on May 9, 2021, in a careless manner.
