Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable N. Peter Conforti, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on August 30, 2021, by Rachel Pier.

Pier, age 42 of Hamburg, pled guilty to Theft, a fourth degree crime, and to violation of probation. Sentencing is presently anticipated for September 23, 2021.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking a cell phone left at a Hardyston business on June 4, 2021.
