Join United Way at peak fall foliage season for this Sussex
County tradition. Cyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to enjoy
breathtaking views while raising funds for early childhood education.
Cycling enthusiasts can choose from one of three scenic
rides: 10 miles, 25 miles, or 62 miles. Cyclists will hit the road with a grand
send-off at 8:30am. The ride is safe and well-supported with rest stops along
each route. Lunch will be awaiting cyclists when they return.
Old bikes also can be donated at the event from 8 a.m. to 2
p.m. Bikes will be repaired and distributed to Sussex County families in need.
Children ages 5 to 13 also are invited to register for a free bike lesson
courtesy of TransOption’s “Bike Right” program.
The
cost is $40 per cyclist if registered by Sept. 1. Cyclists registered by
Sept. 1 will also receive a free event T-shirt. After Sept. 1, the cost is $60
per cyclist.
