The Hopatcong Warriors varsity football team played perhaps one of the best games of its season, but fell to Madison 32-6 on Saturday.
The Warriors moved the ball up and down the field, coach Dave Barella said. Jonathan Yanko brought Hopatcong into the red zone five times and completed 10 of 12 passed for 112 yards.
"It was his best game this season," Barella said.

Barella said Hopatcong's offensive lineman—Cranmer, LoPorto, Fasano, Vilardo, Maddaluna, Marrazzo and Slator—"did their jobs all night long."
Madison nailed a few trick plays, keeping Hopatcong on the other end of the scoreboard.
"The boys played their best game this year on Saturday and we look to close to the season against Dover with a win," Barella said. "Come out and watch."
