Woman Drove Drunk In School Zone With A Child In The Car: Hopatcong Police

The child's father was also in the car, police said.

HOPATCONG, NJ — A woman was arrested after she allegedly drove drunk in a school zone with a child in the car, Hopatcong Police said.

Officers pulled Jennifer Krip, 47, over on Flora Ave after she was driving erratically and with a seemingly broken muffler, police said. The father of the 10-year-old child was in the front passenger seat.

Police said Krip had been drinking alcohol and was intoxicated. She allegedly failed field sobriety testes, and was arrested.

Keip was given an alcotest at police headquarters, and was charged with 3rd degree endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, DWI with a minor in the vehicle, DWI within a school zone, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, noisy muffler and no insurance on the vehicle. She was released to a friend.
