There will be a reading of the names of the five Howell residents who died in the attacks: John Lennon Jr., a Port Authority police officer; and Colin McArthur, John Rhodes, Joseph Sacerdote and Alan Wisnewski, who worked at the World Trade Center.
The design of the township's 9/11 Memorial Monument has five pillars representing the five victims, Fecher noted. The pillars form a pentagon, representing the U.S. Pentagon that was also attacked that day 21 years ago.
