ALDI Grocery Store Holding Hiring Event In Howell

HOWELL, NJ — If you are looking for a job, the ALDI grocery store chain is holding a hiring event for its stores at the Jersey Shore, company officials said Thursday.

Store associates, shift managers and manager trainees are being sought for ALDI's stores in Brick, Hazlet, Howell, Manahawkin, Toms River and West Long Branch, the company said in a news release Thursday afternoon.

The hiring event runs until 5 p.m. at the Howell store, 6679 Route 9, officials said.

Applicants must be 18 or older and a high school diploma or GED is preferred, and you must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday, company officials said. Retail experience is preferred, you must be able to lift 45 pounds. There is drug screening and a background check. Management experience is preferred for manager trainees, officials said.

Store associates are paid $11.25-$12 per hour, with shift managers receiving an extra $4.25 per hour. Manager trainees earn $61,750 per year minimum, officials said.

"ALDI offers employees generous wages and benefits that are higher than the national average for the retail industry," company officials said, adding that employees who work more than 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage, and all employees are invited to participate in the 401(k) program.
