Chick-Fil-A Owner In Howell Honored With Community Service Award

At a township council meeting in March, Jeff Bassett was recognized for his dedicated service to the community.

HOWELL, NJ — Local businessman Jeff Bassett was honored at the start of a Township Council meeting in March for his dedicated service to the Howell community.

In a small ceremony prior to the council meeting, Bassett, the owner of a local Chick-fil-A, was presented with a business community service award for all his contributions to the township.

Deputy Mayor Pamela Richmond said, Bassett, is a “highly respected and admired” Howell business owner because of his many years of work and support within the township, including his work to help raise over $80,000 for the Howell Emergency Food Pantry.

As the owner of the Howell Chick-fil-A, Bassett has also been able to employ over 325 Monmouth County residents and provide college scholarships to employees.

In addition, Bassett was recognized by the council for his efforts during the pandemic, which included organizing a three-day celebration in 2021 to honor nurses, teachers, and first responders, as well as serving on a business recovery task force.
