Convenience Store, Gas Station Approved On Rt. 9 In Howell

The Howell Planning Board approved the construction of a new gas station and mini mart on Route 9 North at a December meeting.

HOWELL, NJ - The Howell Planning Board has approved the demolition of a vacant gas station and the construction of a new station with an adjacent convenience store on a parcel between Route 9 north and Wyckoff Mills Road.

The applicant, Gill Petroleum, has previously mentioned that existing structures at the lot would be demolished, with a BP gas station and a 3,000-square-foot convenience store to be constructed in its place. Three new 15,000-gallon underground fuel storage tanks - alongside six pump islands and an attendant kiosk - are slated to be built under a 62’ x 62’ canopy.

A crosswalk will be placed on Wyckoff Mills Road and sidewalks, according to a CentralJersey.com report.
